 World Cup is getting too expensive


In a very short period the World Cup has become super expensive as Qatar seems to have money to burn,  it is difficult to see a country wanting the World Cup without massive investment.

Looking ahead at the 2026 World Cup, which will be hosted in the US, Canada, and Mexico, the three nations will take a page out of LA’s book and not build any new stadiums, relying instead on already established venues.  This is sharing out the cost of an expensive sporting activity.

I see a world cup in Africa with investment from China which will be played in a number of 'safe' African countries.
